Telestrations

Well this blog has been a long time coming. I am going to be reviewing the Game Telestrations, by USAOPOLY.

YAY... Board Games.......... Telestrations............

If you don't already know Houseparty, is a website, that hosts houseparty's to select groups of people who apply. If selected to be a party host, you get enough products and party supplies for yourself and about 15 people. It is simple word of mouth advertising, the membership and products are free, all you have to do is host a party and spread the word.

Now, I've been a member of houseparty, for years. Lately, the website has under gone some changes and it looks like more and more people are following them, which means it is getting harder and harder to be selected for a party. This can be a bit frustrating,  apply to party after party and getting nothing. But to everybody that has applied and been denied, hang in there, because it is worth it.  I am not sure how you are selected, unlike Buzzagent it isn't on merit and longevity but I think just pure luck. That and also on how much you use social media. So check out Houseparty and you never know you may get a party for you and your friends.

Since this is the first time I've mentioned houseparty I thought I would give them a shout out. So now....Let the games begin.

So.... I was selected to host the Telestrations Game and it was Awesome.  First the party package was HUGE, yes HUGE and I didn't received one board game but two free games from Houseparty.

Below find the contains.

For Host:
  • 2 Telestrations® Board Games
  • 1 “Laughed So Hard I Cried” Box of Tissues
  • 1 Pack of Telestrations® Party Balloons
For Guests:
  • 14 Mr. Telestrations® bendie collectibles
  • 14 Mr. Telestrations® Fun Masks (erasable too!)

Awesome right, and FREE....

Now, I was so super excited to get the party pack. After it arrived I had to twit the pictures of the party pack out to everybody right away... It was to good to keep it to myself.

Now the party...

I was heading down to NYC to visit my brother and his new fiance this past July...While there I was planning on meeting the new in-laws.  I was told the whole group was full of game people, and anybody who knows me and my friends knows we are game people too. Sounds like a perfect match.

Well, the night started off with dinner, but soon it was game time.

I told everybody I had a new game from Houseparty called Telestrations and I explained that it was like the old telephone game, where one person, tells a story to another person,  then that person explains the story to a third person and so on.  When the process ends and the original story gets to the last person, the story has been changed. Everybody seemed to know the telephone game. So we were good.

The games started with a family game, the host already had. It was easier to break the ice with a game everybody was familiar with then to jump right into a new game. But soon enough it was on, all eyes were on me. I was a little nervous having not spent alot of time with the new family and not knowing if this game would be a dud. I pulled out all the Bendie buddies and Telestrations fun face masks and gave everybody one each.  In addition, I placed the tissues on the table in front of the group not knowing if we would every use them.

We started the game by selecting one pen and one color coded sketch box each. I read out loud the instructions and we were off.

Each of us wrote our names in the books and started to draw the word that was selected. We continued to pass the books around the table, until we were done. There were moments we had to ask questions, because the game was new. We asked questions like, What number are we on? What page are we suppose to be on? etc.... But all in all it was pretty quiet. The whole time I was thinking, "I hope this game works out. "

After we all received our original sketch books back we started to reveal what the original word was, one at a time. One by one we revealed the original word and the groups facial expressions read, Ooohhh.. Yah... As the group spoke out load, "That was what the word was." Ok, "I get it know". But there were some words, that puzzled the group. You could hear Everybody, explain, "I did not get that at all."

I will explain a, "I didn't get that at all." Situation. When I received my sketch book back, I opened my book and reveled to the group that my word. The secret word was  "Los angeles" and everybody in the group was dumb founded.  I myself  didn't get that at all. When I turned the page to reveal the sketch of Los angeles I turned the page to find what looked like eye balls or beach balls or something round. And I was confused, my brothers fiances grandmother who had drawn the round pictures  explained, they are "Rings" so proudly.  I still confused  moved on to the next page, where my brother who was sitting next to the grandmother said, "I saw the round picture and I saw rings", and my brothers fiance who was next to him said, "I saw the word rings and draw a person with rings on there hand", And her mother said I saw the ring on the persons finger and so I wrote the word rings. It went on and on, and I spoke out and said, How do you get rings when the word was Los angeles?  and the grandmother said I saw the word "Tiffany" and so I draw rings for jewelry like the store....And the whole group laughed. I laughed so hard, I had tears in my eyes and to think I didn't think we would need tissues at all, as my brothers new mother in-law reached for a tissue to dry her eyes.  The funny thing was my name is Tiffany. She mis-read the secret word.

That is how the party got started, it was a blast. Most of the pictures we got as a group, and we felt proud and the ones we were way off on, were the best, because they kept us laughing. This is an awesome game. I've already played it a second and third time on difference occasions with different people.

This is a game we will be playing for years, thank you Telestrations and Houseparty...

Nectresse from the markers of Splenda

Well it has been a long time since I've had a chance to review a product. I do apologize to all my followers, life has just been so busy with work. I am sure you all know how it is. But I have so many new products to review and I feel obligated to review them all.
So let's get started.

I am going to review Nectresse the new natural no calorie sweetener from the makers of Splenda. This product is 100% natural and made from the Monk Fruit. The package is orange and it comes in a box of 40 packet's which is what I received in the mail from Smiley 360. For Free....You can also buy Nectresse in a 140 serving canister.

Each packet provides the same sweetness as two teaspoons of sugar. The sweetener can be used like all other sweeteners on the market, in drinks, on fruit, in recipes etc. The expiration date having just received the box is listed as 3/22/2012. So the shelf life is about 6months.  Nectresse has no calories, no fat, no sodium, no protein, and only 2g's total carbohydrates.

Now for my review:

I have to be honest. I didn't like it.

Sorry, I have to be honest. I thought this product had an after taste. I was so excited to try the product, it was new and from Splenda which I've loved for years and still use. I like splenda over the blue and pink packets too. But the new Nectresse was not good. I thought maybe because it was 100% natural and made from the Monk fruit that it would taste sweet like honey or molasses why??? Because the ingredients are Erythritol, Sugar, Monk fruit extract and Molasses.

I was a good dobby though, because I received free samples from Smiley360 for myself, friends and co-workers, I tried to spread the word.  I believe my option is not the most important one but yours is.

So I handed the individual packets out to a few my my closes friends and most said, "If they are going to use sugar why not use the real thing"? So with left over packets, I thought the best way to spread the word on the new Nectresse was to bring the samples into work and place them at the coffee machine. My co-workers gobbled them up. The packets were gone in a few hours.

So I did my best, I tried, I gave the sames out and I spread the word.

My last attempt to spread the word would be to give out a 40pack box of Nectresse to one lucky reader. Yes, you heard right, I have a box of Nectresse free to go home to one lucky winner to try themselves supplied by Smiley360...So drop me a line and first come first serve.

Thank you again for stopping by. I promise there will be more to come.

Thank you again Smiley360
